What is the difference between soy candles and paraffin candles?
Soy candles burn at least 50% longer than paraffin candles, are biodegradable and contain pure cotton wicks. Our candles contain no petrochemicals or toxins and are 99% soot free resulting in a beautiful, clean burn. Did you know that paraffin candles release 11 documented toxins when burning, 4 of which are carcinogenic? Soylites candles are amazing moisturizing and massage candles that reap many therapeutic benefits for the skin.

What is a therapeutic moisturizing candle?
Our 100% pure soy oil candles melt at only 2 degrees above body temperature and are housed in glass, ceramic and metal containers. When our candles burn the oil wax melts to form a pool of oil, which is warm to the touch, making it possible to dip your finger into the soy oil pool without burning yourself. The oil has a smooth, creamy texture and is rich in nourishing vitamin E and lecithin. SoyLites candles are ideal for use as a general hand, face and body moisturizer, cracked heels and cuticles, scars, minor cuts and abrasions and other skin ailments. Our candles have also proven to be wonderfully effective as an aid in the treatment of psoriasis and eczema.

What is a massage body candle?
Our massage candles are formulated specifically for use as a complete body product. We combine pure soy oil with selected botanical massage oils (see webpage for more details). Additionally, we add essential oil blends selected for their detoxifying or rejuvenating benefits. The soft textured oil when burning these candles makes for a unique, warm-oil massage experience. A common response from both massage therapists and clients alike is ‘wow!’

Where are our ingredients sourced?
We have access to cutting edge practical knowledge and the best quality raw soy oil in the USA through our folks, who have been one of the pioneers of this new generation all natural candle in the USA for many years. We do not use any raw materials that contribute to the deforestation of the Amazon and our soy is guaranteed to contain no genetically modified materials. We are proud to be the first manufacturers of hand-poured soy candles in South Africa and where possible use local containers, packaging and essential oils.
